We’re planning to add an aquaponics greenhouse to allow year-round growing. Our goal is to provide locally grown greens throughout the winter – hence the name of our farm.

Aquaponics is a soil-less growing method raising fish and vegetables a closed-cycle ecosystem. It’s a very sustainable way to grow food, as it uses very little water and generates practically no waste.

Unfortunately, our farmhouse partially burned down in 2014 – just as we were gearing up for the new farm season. We’ve spent the last few years dealing with the aftermath and building a new house, while expanding mainly our perennnial crops… and well, we’re still at it. Although this event has set back the realization of our aquaponics dreams, we’re not losing sight of it!
